Only the birds singing and the wind rustling in the trees. Nature just is\u2026and we can relax and just <em>be.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seeing the crop grow every time I go there is very reassuring. Soon I will be able to eat lettuce leaves and cilantro to start with. \u263a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After hard work in the bush for 3,5 hours it\u2019s time for lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lunch consists of a fresh coconut, or two \u263a and its water. I didn\u2019t like coconut water before I came here. The ones in a plastic bottle you can find in stores are not the same thing, obviously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But this! The fresh water out of the coconut is a different ball game! Depending on the type of coconut, if it\u2019s orange or green, the water is either sweeter or sourer. It\u2019s packed with potassium, manganese, folate, calcium and magnesium, to name a few minerals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coconut water has a similar electrolyte composition as human blood. That is why it\u2019s such a perfect substitute for mother\u2019s milk!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you are having trouble breastfeeding, you can give your baby coconut water instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It regulates blood pressure for one thing, helps in weight loss, lowers cholesterol, boosts energy and reduces cellulites.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can\u2019t get a fresh coconut, look for \u201ccold pressure coconut water\u201d in the store. It has not been heated up. The pressure eliminates bacteria but leaves the vitamins and minerals in tact. Bottom line; read the labels and see to that they haven\u2019t added sugar and preservatives!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here comes a little recipe you can use to boost your hydration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 ounces coconut water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 peeled lime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 whole cucumber<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 celery stalks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can either juice them in a juicer, or mix them well in a mixer.
